Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary Celebrates Groundbreaking for New Outpatient Surgery Center In Boston, MA

Boston, MA October 27, 2011-- Officials gathered today to celebrate the groundbreaking for 800 Huntington Ave., the future site of an outpatient surgery center for Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary (Mass. Eye and Ear). The new facility is located in the Longwood area in Boston’s Mission Hill neighborhood. The project includes the renovation of an existing building, a new addition, and a new parking garage. The completed facility will be approximately 90,000 square feet and contain approximately 150 parking spaces. The property is owned and being developed by The Beal Companies of Boston, MA.

The new state-of-the-art facility will allow Mass. Eye and Ear to meet the growing demand for its specialized services and it will bring those services to a convenient neighborhood location. The proximity to the Longwood area hospitals and Harvard Medical School provide more opportunities for collaboration in patient care and clinical research initiatives.
